GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident, a student of Dibrugarh University allegedly committed suicide on November 9.
According to reports, the deceased identified as Lakhyajit Gogoi was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his hostel room.
Lakhyajit who hailed from Dhemaji district of Assam was a 7th-semester student of Physics department in the university.
In the meanwhile body has been sent to Assam Medical College & Hospital (AMCH) for post-mortem, however, the actual reason behind his suicide is yet to be ascertained.
It is to be mentioned that earlier on September 17, a girl student of Dibrugarh University committed suicide who hailed from Baghmora Potiagaon in Jorhat district. She was a postgraduate third semester student of the department of English in the university.
