GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, a dead person was produced in the NRC kendra in Misamari of Sonitpur district by his family members.
Sources informed the media that a family hailing from Bhelera Village was on their way to the NRC kendra for final hearing when the head of the family, Balaram Chakrabarty, suddenly passed away.
The family members, upon finding no other solution, took the deceased Balaram Chakrabarty to the office, and asserted that Balaram took part in a family discussion about NRC just prior to his death.
Balaram Chakrabarty didn’t have any illness, claimed the family members. They further added that they tried to contact 108 services but had to themselves take Balaram to Tezpur Medical College (TMC) where the doctors declared him dead.
