Cyclone Fani: Train services to be affected

GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced cancellation of several trains after rainfall alerts have been sounded for the northeast region. 

Four trains departing on May 4, 5 and 7 have been cancelled, according to an NFR official.

These are the 12504 Agartala-Bangalore Cantonment Humsafar Express and the 15906 Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express which were scheduled to depart on May 4, the 12510 Guwahati-Bangalore Express which was scheduled to depart on May 5 and the 22501 Bangalore-New Tinsukia SF Express which was scheduled to depart on May 7. 

It should be noted that Cyclone Fani had earlier made its way to Odisha on Thursday, May 2 and is expected to hit the northeast region today.
