GUWAHATI: A cyclist lost his life after being struck by a dumper truck on the New Saraighat Bridge on Tuesday, March 25. Authorities have yet to confirm the identity of the deceased.

Speaking to GPlus, an official from the Jalukbari Outpost stated, "A cyclist was fatally hit by a dumper truck on the New Saraighat Bridge. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained."
According to reports, in a separate incident, a motorcycle collided head-on with a dumper truck on the service road near the Radisson Blu Hotel.
The bike, which was travelling from Khanapara towards Jalukbari, was hit by the truck approaching from the opposite direction. The impact of the crash resulted in the immediate death of the rider.
Investigations into both accidents are ongoing.
