GUWAHATI: The Cyber Cell, Ministry of Defence has cautioned the public in regard to miscreants taking advantage of the popular show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) by making individuals join WhatsApp groups to trap them.
These adversaries are sending fake KBC messages to individuals using the numbers 92-3077902877 and 92-3040943299.
The Cyber Cell, MoD has advised the public to follow the guidelines listed below in this matter:
Individuals should immediately exit such groups if they have been added.
Configure your WhatsApp settings in such a way that only individuals whose contact details have been saved in your phone can add you to a group without an invitation. To activate this, go to Settings > Account > Privacy > Groups > Select ‘My Contacts’ option > Done.
