GUWAHATI: Guwahati registered 510 new COVID-19 positive cases on August 25, Tuesday.
On the same day, Assam reported a total of 1,973 new cases.
Out of these, 149 are from Cachar, 132 are from Jorhat, 121 are from Kamrup (R) and 116 are from Dibrugarh.

With this, the total number of COVID cases in Assam has gone up to 94,592.
Further, with 1,724 patients discharged from various hospitals within the last 24 hours, active cases in Assam stands at 19,515 while 74,814 persons have been cured from the virus.
The COVID-19 death toll in Assam stands at 260.
