COVID-19: Over 95% of Patients Recovered in Assam

GUWAHATI: The COVID-19 recovery rate in Assam as of November 2, 2020 stands at 95.45%. 


The variety of COVID-19 assessments carried out as on October 31 in Assam is 46,57,839. Out of these, the confirmed instances per million inhabitants in Assam have been 6,017.


Assam recorded 465 fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday, November 2. The cases were detected from all across the state, out of 30,344 COVID tests conducted. This was informed by the Health Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma.


Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Sarma wrote, "465 Cases detected out of 30334 tests conducted today, with positivity rate of 1.53%."


With this, the total number of COVID cases in Assam has gone up to 2,06,982.
 

Further, with 785 patients discharged from various hospitals within the last 24 hours, active cases in Assam stands at 8,481 while 1,97,566 persons have been cured of the virus. 


The COVID-19 death toll in Assam stands at 932.
