GUWAHATI: All shops and business establishments of Athgaon area of Guwahati will remain closed from June 15 to June 21, 2020.
The area covers Ganesh Mandir (below AT Road flyover) to Shiv Mandir (near Marwari Hospital).

The decision has been collectively and voluntarily taken by the merchants of the area in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases.
"This decision has been taken as a precautionary measure in view of the escalating Covid-19 positive cases in the locality," reads the notification issued by the merchants' association of Athgaon.
It should be mentioned that there are currently four containment zones in Athgaon namely Steel House, Dhanuka Apartment, Sagar Apartment and Vrindavan Lane.
