Kamrup Metro happens to be the worst affected district in the state and is the new COVID-19 hotspot of the region.

Kamrup Metro has been under a 14 day lockdown since 29 June. The Chief Secretary of State had earlier released an order with lockdown relaxations for two days but a new order will replace the previous one in view of the massive spike in number of cases.
