GUWAHATI: Cotton University authority has decided to introduce ‘uniform’ for the students studying in higher secondary courses from August 1 this year.
With the new rule, the authority aims to maintain discipline among the students.

However, the colour of the uniform is yet to be decided. The University authority has formed a three-member committee to implement the new rule. The committee is expected to publish its report in June and will decide on the colour of the uniform.
Once implemented, this will be the first time the students will wear uniform in the history of the 119-year old institute.
