Coronavirus Update: India Cases Cross 9000-Mark, Death Toll at 308

GUWAHATI: Total COVID-19 positive cases in India has crossed the 9000-case mark and surged to 9,152 as on Monday, April 13.

According to the ministry of health and family welfare, the death toll has risen to 308.

Out of the total number of cases, 857 patients have been cured, discharged or migrated. 

Further, Maharashtra has the highest number of positive cases in the country with 1,985 COVID-19 cases. It is followed by Delhi with 1154 cases and Tamil Nadu which recorded 1043 positive coronavirus cases. 

Further, out of the total number of cases, 7987 cases are active. 

It is to be mentioned that in Assam, a person from Dhubri, connected with Tablighi Jamaat meet at Nizamuddin Markaz, has been found COVID-19 positive, taking the state’s COVID-19 toll to 30. Out of this, one patient from Hailakandi died due to the virus.
