GUWAHATI: Recording a drop in revenue due to coronavirus scare, IndiGo airlines has announced that it will cut salaries of most of its employees from April 1.
IndiGo CEO Ronojoy Dutta, will take a 25 per cent cut in salary for himself, while senior vice presidents and above are taking a 20 per cent pay cut while vice presidents and cockpit crew are taking a 15 per cent pay cut.
"We have to pay careful attention to our cash flow so that we do not run out of cash," Dutta said adding that he knew how hard it was for families to take a cut in "take-home pay", as per reports.
