GUWAHATI: A road accident at the Dibrugarh-Tinsukia bypass left four dead including a child, on Tuesday, November 12.

The accident occurred in the early hours when a hatchback carrying six people lost control and plunged into a rivulet below a bridge, killing four individuals, including a seven-year-old child on the spot inside the vehicle.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Panitola Outpost said, “The fog in the early hours of the morning along with the high speed of the vehicle reportedly resulted in the crash. According to reports, the vehicle lost control and veered off the bridge due to a pothole on the road. The locals present tried to rescue the car's occupants, but were unsuccessful. Two in the vehicle have been injured and the rest four are deceased”
The deceased have been identified as Mohan Shah, Rajesh Gupta, Montu Shah and Artha Gupta, who were all residents of Bihar. Further details are awaited.
