GUWAHATI: Rajdeep Goala will join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), announced Assam finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on March 13.
Goala was first elected to Assam Legislative Assembly in 2014 by-election and then re-elected in 2016 Assam Assembly elections.
Earlier, Himanata said, "In a day or two, an important MLA of the Congress will join the BJP or will express his interest to join the BJP.”
The minister also said that during this election time, some legislators are getting attracted towards the BJP.
