GUWAHATI: Hours after Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar passed away, the Congress stakes claim to form Government in Goa.
Congress delegation met the Governor Mridula Sinha.
It is to be mentioned that the Congress is the single largest opposition party in the Goa assembly.
The BJP also moved to stake claim to form the government. The party informed that the next CM candidate will be finalised by 2 PM and oath taking will happen before 5 pm today.
It is to be mentioned that former Goa CM Manohar Parrikar passed away yesterday evening after a prolonged illness.
