Teams have been formed across the country to connect with society and to prepare a people's manifesto in consultation with the voters. This is a first of its kind step by the Congress. The exercise is to have more and more citizen participation in the preparation of the Congress manifesto. In the first interaction held in Guwahati, former Meghalaya chief minister, Mukul Sangma interacted with eminent citizens, social workers, and the general public.

Some of the important observations made by the public during the interaction:

- The Congress has lost touch with the grassroots. It looks Away from the people.
- NE tourism needs more promotion.
- Don't take NE as one entity. There are 7 states.
- Border issues should be given priority.
- Very few international flights.
- Visa centers here in Assam.
- Bharalu waterways.
- Drinking water issue despite Brahmaputra.
- Piped LPG in Assam.
- Assam in NCERT and CBSE.
- Inner line permit for Assam.
