GUWAHATI: A man from Jyotikuchi is facing charges after allegedly beating a dog to death.

The incident happened near the Shankar Hotel area in Jyotikuchi on February 9, 2024.
The case was registered on February 9, 2024.

The accused has been identified as J.P Giri, who started beating two dogs when they entered his premises. One of them escaped.
The matter came to light after an animal rights activist filed a complaint with the Fatasil Ambari Police Station on the same day.
Talking to GPlus, an official from Fatasil Ambari Police Station said, "We have investigated and the case is chargesheeted."
