GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbanada Sonowal offered prayers to the Lord Shiva on the occasion of Maha Shivratri at Neelakantha Mandir in Majuli.
Taking to the twitter, CM Sonowal wrote, "Maha Shivaratri is the holy occasion of contemplation and realisation of the spiritual energy which guides the world. Offered prayers to Lord Shiva at Neelakantha Mandir in sacred Majuli and sought blessings for all."
Meanwhile Assam State Finance Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the historic Siddheswar Devalaya at Sualkuchi and offered his prayers.
