GUWAHATI: CCTNS Assam on 30th October, received two prestigious awards from the Government of India.
The first award is for the Passport Verification Module (Permanent Residential Certificate) and online tracking of POSCO Cases through CCTNS.
The second award was given to Special DGP and State Nodal Officer, Anil Kumar Jha for his outstanding contribution for CCTNS Assam.
Launched in January 2016, the portal provides services like tenant verification, domestic help verification/employee verification, character certificate verification, requests for protest or strike, requests for procession and requests for event performances.
On CCTNS, as soon as a complaint is registered online, the local police will be informed about the same and the officer-in-charge is expected to immediately pursue the matter and take action as per the requirement of the complaint.
The award was given by the National Crime Records Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs.
