GUWAHATI: At least 15 people were killed and many more wounded when a car bomb exploded on the outskirts of the northern Syrian city of Manbij in eastern Aleppo on Monday, February 3. The powerful blast, which struck a main road in the southern outskirts of the city, occurred as a flat-bed lorry carrying about 30 agricultural workers passed by.

The Syria Civil Defence, also known as the White Helmets, confirmed the location of the blast and reported a tragic toll, including 11 women and 3 children among the deceased. Eighteen others were injured, with 13 women and 5 girls among those critically wounded.
The Syrian presidency issued a strong condemnation of the attack, promising swift and severe punishment for the perpetrators, while no group has yet claimed responsibility.
The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a US-backed Kurdish-led alliance, denounced the bombing as a "criminal act" that threatens the "unity of the national fabric."
