GUWAHATI: The internet has been captivated by ChatGPT’s latest image generation feature, which allows users to create stunning Ghibli-style visuals with ease. However, the overwhelming demand has prompted OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, to make a public request for users to slow down.

Taking to the microblogging site X, Altman posted a plea, saying, “can yall please chill on generating images this is insane our team needs sleep” His request came as people flooded the platform with countless AI-generated images, reimagining their favourite moments in the dreamy, hand-painted aesthetic inspired by Studio Ghibli.

When a user responded, suggesting that OpenAI might “nerf” the model, Altman reassured them otherwise. “we are gonna do the opposite of nerfing it,” he replied. “But still, please chill out a bit.”
