GUWAHATI: Boxer Lovlina Borgohain has won the gold medal at the Magomed Salam Umakjanov Memorial International Boxing Tournament in Kaspiysk, Russia on Saturday, August 4.
Borgohain defeated Italian boxer Assunta Confora 3-2 in the final match.

It should be noted that Borgohain had earlier lost to Confora at the 2nd India Open International Boxing Tournament.
At the tournament, other sportspersons from India such as Neeraj also won the gold and Gaurav Solanki won the silver medal.
