GUWAHATI: Shree Digambar Jain Panchayat, Guwahati, under the leadership of Mahavir P Jain and Lions Club of Gauhati under the leadership of Lion Kishore Saboo released a book on the life of Dr. Gyan Chandra Jain on 5th January at the Gauhati Lions Eye Hospital Auditorium.
The book titled "Daddy" is authored by Babita Komal and is about the life story of Dr. GC Jain, covering his initial student days at Rajasthan to joining Gauhati Medical College way back in 1964 to his retirement as the Professor and Head of the Surgery Department of GMCH.
The book was inaugurated by Pannalal Jain while Ramesh Jain, IAS was the Chief Guest and Kapoor Chand Patni was the Guest of Honour. The programme was initiated by Lion Sanjay Jain and was conducted by Lion Prerna Agarwal.
Dr. Gyan Chandra Jain was actively involved in various organisations like Lions Club, Doctors' Guild and Jain Samaj among others.
