Bon Jovi’s Shillong Show Report A Hoax, Tour Schedule Confirms

GUWAHATI: Shillong, often hailed as India’s rock capital, was abuzz with excitement after a poster claiming that iconic American rock band Bon Jovi would perform in the city on June 15, 2025, went viral.

The poster, which featured a photograph of the band, mentioned the venue as JN Stadium (Polo Ground) and included logos of Meghalaya Tourism, BookMyShow, and Kingfisher.

However, the information has been confirmed to be false. Bon Jovi, as per their official tour schedule, will be performing in the UK during that time. They are set to take the stage at Taunton, Brewhouse on June 14 and have another scheduled performance on June 19, making a Shillong concert logistically impossible.

Earlier this week, Canadian singer Bryan Adams left Shillong craving for more in his first-ever concert in the Northeast. Come February, the Scotland of the East is scheduled to host Ed Sheeran. The tickets for the show across venues in India were reported to have been sold out within minutes, on December 11.
