GUWAHATI: The body of a seven-year-old girl was recovered from a paddy field in Monjuli Pathar Gaon, Dhekiajuli on Thursday, September 12.
According to reports, the body of the girl was found without any clothes and there were several injury marks on her face, neck and other parts of her body.
According to locals, the girl might have been raped and then stabbed to death.
It is to be mentioned that the minor went missing from Wednesday, September 11 and her family and relatives failed to trace her whereabouts.
Meanwhile, the locals have contacted the police and the body has been sent for post mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
