BJP worker from Morigaon said Zubeen should “stick to singing”

GUWAHATI: A worker from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jainal Ali has threatened singer Zubeen Garg for his stand on the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill. 

The BJP worker, who is from Morigaon used slang words to threaten the singer and made several controversial remarks against him. He even compared him to a daily-wage labourer and said that he should “stick to singing” rather than joining politics. 

He also criticised Zubeen’s latest song, ‘Politics Nokoriba Bondhu’ and remarked that if the singer wanted to be chief minister, he doubts if Zubeen could even win a ward commissioner election. 

It should be mentioned that Ali is said to be a close aid of Assam Minister, Pijush Hazarika and has several criminal records registered against him in different police stations under Morigaon district.
