BJP Releases 2019 Election Manifesto, Promises CAB To be Passed In Next Five Years

GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on April 8, released their party manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019 with the tagline “Phir Ek Bar, Modi Sarkar.” The manifesto was released in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top BJP leaders Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and others. They described the manifesto as its “Sankalp Patra.”

The passing of the Citizenship bill was included in the manifesto. While releasing the manifesto, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, "We will try to reach consensus and will pass this bill. We, however, do not wish to target any cultural or linguistic group. We will preserve the identity of the states."

The manisfesto also includes promises to construct Ram Mandir and double the income of farmers for which the party has made a separate manifesto called the 'Kisan manifesto.'
