BJP, AGP and BPF to win all 14 Lok Sabha seats together: Ram Madhav

GUWAHATI: In a late night meeting held at the Radisson Blu, Guwahati on Tuesday, the regional party Asom Gana Parishad and the Bharatiya Janata Party have decided to join hands with other NEDA partners and contest the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

After months of accusations and blame game, the parties have finally decided to play it together. Speaking to reporters Ram Madhav, in-charge BJP Northeast said, "Get to share a good news with the people of Assam. You all know that the assembly elections held two years ago in Assam, the BJP together with AGP and the BPF had fought the election and defeated the Congress party. We formed the government together in the state. 

Today in the coming parliamentary elections also, we three parties have decided to work together with the same purpose of defeating the Congress party. We will together ensure that Congress party will be defeated in all the 14 seats of the state and we together will win all the seats."

"We discussed within the party and with the AGP leaders and we decided in the larger interest of the state and the objective of defeating the Congress party we will work together and contest the elections jointly as an alliance," said Ram Madhav.

"We are hoping that the ministers from AGP in the state government will resume their work as soon as possible and the remaining details of the allinace regarding the seat sharing and all that will be worked out in the couple of days by the state leadership (AGP, BJP) and will finalise the seat-sharing arrangement," stated Madhav.
