GUWAHATI: Condemning the electrocution incident that occurred on Wednesday, June 26 in Biswanath Chariali, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal asked Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) and the district administration to institute an inquiry to find out the sequel of events leading to the tragic death of Robin Das.

Conveying condolence to the victim’s family, CM Sonowal announced Rs 2 lakh from his relief fund as an immediate relief to the family.
In the meantime, APDCL, apart from assuring job to the next of the kin of the deceased, announced Rs. 2.50 lakh and suspended two-line men of the APDCL.
