Bengaluru Murder: Woman’s Body Found In Fridge Was Cut Into 59 Pieces

 

GUWAHATI: The police investigating the murder of 29-year-old Mahalakshmi in Bengaluru have revealed that her body was dismembered into 59 pieces. The remains were reconstructed during the postmortem at Bowring Hospital on Sunday, September 22.

According to reports, the authorities have identified the suspect as one of Mahalakshmi's boyfriends, originally from Odisha, who was reportedly working in the city at the time of the murder. According to the investigation, the suspect allegedly confessed to his younger brother about the killing before going on the run.

It is believed the accused is currently evading capture by moving between locations in West Bengal, and a police team is actively pursuing him. Home Minister G Parameshwara confirmed that the prime suspect is from Odisha and that efforts to arrest him are underway. 

Hemant Das, the estranged husband of Mahalakshmi, has claimed that she was reportedly having an affair and that her alleged lover from Uttarakhand might be involved in the murder. The 29-year-old woman named Mahalakshmi’s body was found cut into multiple pieces and stored inside a refrigerator at her rented house, Bengaluru on Saturday, as per reports.
