Delhi Teen Stabbed To Death For Refusing Treat To Friends For New Phone

GUWAHATI: A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death by three juveniles in Delhi's Shakarpur area after refusing to treat them for buying a new phone. The incident took place on Monday, September 23, when the victim was returning home with a friend after purchasing the phone.

According to authorities, he encountered three boys on his way back, who were presumably his friends. They demanded a treat to celebrate his new purchase, but when the victim refused, it led to a physical fight, during which one of the minors allegedly pulled out a dagger and stabbed him.

A local police patrol reportedly noticed bloodstains on the street and began an inquiry. Around an hour later, they had received information from one hospital about the admission of a 16-year-old boy, who was declared dead upon arrival.

Authorities uncovered that the argument over a treat was the motive behind the stabbing. A murder case was registered, and police began searching for the accused. Using CCTV footage and local intelligence, police reportedly managed to track down the three juveniles, all aged 16. They have been apprehended, and the murder weapon has been recovered.

Further investigation is ongoing on the matter.
