GUWAHATI: Banking services across the country might be hit during the Christmas time. There already is a nationwide strike on December 26 and now a bank officers’ union might go for a strike on December 21 that is a Friday.
As December 22nd is a fourth Saturday banks will be closed. Apart from the opening on 24th that is Monday, the next day, because of Christmas, banks will remain closed. On 26th December, the union strike is there, so the whole stretch from 21st to 26th December is going to be affected.

“We demand full and complete mandate for officers (Scale I to VII) wage revision in 11th bipartite settlement,” All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC) said in its bank strike notice.
