GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam, (DVAC) has apprehended Jahnobjyoti Mout, an Instructor Fitter at the IMC of ITI-Tinsukia, for allegedly accepting a bribe. Mout was caught red-handed while allegedly taking money from a complainant in exchange for securing her son’s admission to the institute.

The operation was conducted following a complaint lodged with the vigilance department. Authorities acted and ensured the instructor was apprehended during the act.
DVAC took to X to put out, “Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed Jahnobjyoti Mout, Instructor Fitter, IMC of ITI-Tinsukia immediately after he accepted bribe from the complainant for admission of her son in the ITI, Tinsukia.”
