Assam: Wild Elephant Kills One In Jagiroad

 

GUWAHATI: A wild elephant attack in Jagiroad resulted in the death of a local resident today, June 15.

The incident took place in South Dharamtul, Jagiroad. The victim, identified as Teron from Mohkhali village, was attacked by the elephant in the verandah of his house. Villagers highlighted the unpredictable nature of wildlife encounters in the region, as per reports.

The man was killed after the attack by the wild pachyderm. 

Talking to GPlus, a police official from Jagiroad police station said, “The man was from Mokhali village near Dharamtul. We are looking into it further.”
