GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, eight persons died on the spot after vehicle lost control and crashed into a goods truck in Orang near Gelabil in the wee hours of November 20.
According to reports, the passengers were returning from a wedding party when their car collided with a stationary truck.
The deceased have been identified as Diganta, Rinku Saikia, Ranjit Deka, Parth Puri, Narayan Das, Tinku Borah, Kamal Dev Nath.

Sources said all the eight persons were friends of groom Nayan Bora, who hails from Borjhar gaon of Tezpur.
In the meanwhile, the deceased have been taken to the Udalguri hospital for postmortem.
