GUWAHATI: In a bid to stop the advancement of Reliance JioTv App which allows Jio customers to stream TV channels, Tata Sky has decided to discontinue 56 TV channels of TV18 Broadcast and Turner International India from 24th September. From Assam, regional channel News18 Assam/North East is in the list of channels to be discontinued.
Tata Sky recently released a print advertisement where it informed the general public about the discontinuation giving a time of three weeks. The reasons given by Tata Sky were violation of agreement and expiry of the agreement. The Direct To Home (DTH) operator has failed to reach an agreement with the parties.
