GUWAHATI: Train services have resumed through the section of track near Mupa, which was affected by a recent derailment in the Lumding-Badarpur hill area on Saturday, November 2. The restoration work has been completed, and trial runs involving light engines and goods trains are currently underway to ensure the highest safety standards.

The regular passenger train services are expected to recommence on November 3. The services in the hill section were temporarily halted since Thursday, October 31 after a loaded wagon from a goods train derailed inside a tunnel.
