GUWAHATI: An accident in Sonai, Cachar, claimed the life of a young man from the Kaptanpur area while he attempted to flee with a minor girl on Friday, November 1. The incident left two pillion riders in critical condition, including the girl, who was reported to be the deceased's girlfriend, and another rider, a friend of the victim.

The man, identified as Sanjit Rabidas, died at the scene of the crash. None of the riders were wearing helmets and they were also tripling on the bike.
According to the reports, the bike crashed into the railing of a bridge in the Gachtala area.
An official from the Sonai police station confirmed the details to GPlus, stating, “A young man died in an accident in Sonai. He was with two other people who are critically injured and are currently receiving treatment at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
