The camps will be installed in prominent locations such as Guwahati, Barpeta, Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Nagaon, Tinsukia, and Nalbari.
In Guwahati, State Bank of India (SBI) will set up support camps at branches including Maligaon, Dispur, New Guwahati, Guwahati Main, and GMC. Under Secretary of DoPPW, Dilip Kumar Sahu, will visit these locations on November 11 to guide pensioners in using Face Authentication technology.
In Nalbari, the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) will operate camps across over 200 branch post offices, including Mugkuchi, Suradi, and Barazara, with Sahu set to visit these locations on November 12.
Additionally, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will seek to provide assistance for pensioners by updating Aadhaar records and resolving technical issues, ensuring smooth DLC generation across Assam.
The DLC initiative uses Aadhaar-based Face Authentication for the timely allocation of pensions, allowing pensioners to submit certificates conveniently via smartphones, and also reducing the need for physical visits to pension offices.
