Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced this decision following the state cabinet meeting held on Sunday, February 23.

To address growing traffic congestion, the flyover project has been initiated to improve connectivity and traffic flow in Dibrugarh, a key commercial and educational hub of Upper Assam.

The new flyover is also expected to reduce travel time and enhance road safety in the region.

Additionally, the cabinet approved modifications to the state’s existing Biotechnology Policy to foster research, industry, and entrepreneurship in the sector.
