Assam Approves DACP Scheme For Medical Professionals

 

GUWAHATI: The Assam cabinet has approved the introduction of the Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) Scheme, 2025, to facilitate career growth and retention of the state’s doctors, serving as faculty members in medical colleges.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma disclosed this update following the state cabinet meeting held on Sunday, February 23.

The DACP scheme has been designed to ensure timely promotions and career advancement for medical professionals, thereby improving the overall healthcare infrastructure and services in Assam’s medical colleges.

Other major announcements in the meeting included the approval of a new flyover in Dibrugarh to address traffic congestion in the city, a modification of the state’s existing biotechnology policy, and a ₹55.45 crore urban infrastructure plan For Tier 2, 3 Cities.
