GUWAHATI: In a shocking incident, Nagaon police have arrested three juveniles who allegedly murdered a six-year-old girl after watching pornographic videos on a mobile phone.
The three were picked up from Missa near Kaliabor on Wednesday, October 20, a day after the horrific crime. One of the boy’s father, whose mobile phone contained the pornographic material, has also been arrested. Police said attempts were made by some family members of the accused to hush up the crime.
Two of the juveniles are aged 11 years and one aged 8 years. In a social media statement, Nagaon police said the accused were “porn addicts capable of conspiracy and execution of a dastardly crime”.
Nagaon Superintendent of Police Anand Mishra said investigators pieced together the incident by recreating the scene of the crime and solved the case within 24 hours.
"This is an important lesson for parents to scrutinise their children. In this case, we found them watching pornography on their father's phone," Misra said while referring to one of the arrested juveniles.
