GUWAHATI: A team from the Special Task Force (STF), led by Additional Superintendent of Police (STF) Anurag Sharma, intercepted a truck at Bagori in Nagaon on Friday, October 25.

The truck, bearing registration number UP 82 AT 9208, was travelling from Dimapur via Golaghat to Madhya Pradesh when it was stopped for inspection.
During a thorough search of the vehicle, officials discovered 350 quintals of Burmese areca nuts, which were being transported without the necessary documentation. The areca nuts were seized by the STF team.
The driver and handyman, who owned the truck, were detained for questioning. All materials and the apprehended individuals have been handed over to the Bagori police for further investigation.
