Assam State Zoo welcomes new inmates - a pair of ostriches and striped hyenas

GUWAHATI: The Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden has exchanged animals with the Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park in Ranchi.

The Zoo now has a pair of ostriches and striped hyenas that have been brought in exchange for an eight-year-old male panther and three leopard cats.

The animals were brought in to the Zoo on Saturday, November 24. Officials from Ranchi reached Guwahati on Friday and took the panther to its new home.
