GUWAHATI: The Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden in Guwahati recently welcomed new members born through captive breeding.
A Black Buck couple became parents of a calf and Nabhly, the female Golden Langur gave birth to a baby.
Earlier this month, Kazi a 7-year-old tigress gave birth to two Royal Bengal Tiger cubs.
Captive breeding is the process of maintaining plants or animals in controlled environments, such as wildlife reserves, zoos, botanic gardens, and other conservation facilities.
