Assam: Sonowal Expresses Concern Over Diarrhoea Outbreak In Tinsukia

 

GUWAHATI: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has voiced deep concern over the recent outbreak of a diarrhoea-like illness at Tongona Tea Estate, which has tragically resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals.

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Sonowal engaged in direct communication with the Chief Secretary of the Government of Assam, Ravi Kota, and the District Commissioner of Tinsukia, Swapnil Pal, to evaluate the crisis and ensure immediate assistance is provided.

Sonowal has instructed the relevant authorities to take swift and adequate measures to secure the well-being of the residents of Tongona Tea Estate.
