GUWAHATI: Seven students of Tezpur University sustained injuries when a university bus overturned near the Paruwa Chariali, Napam Road in Tezpur on Sunday.
The incident took place around 4 PM as students were on their way from the ASTC bus stand at Mahabhairab to Tezpur University.
Speaking to GPlus, a senior official from Tezpur University said, "The bus was carrying at least 25 students at the time of the accident. Fortunately, only seven students sustained minor injuries and were subsequently taken for medical examination."
A member of the Tezpur University Students’ Union, speaking to GPlus, mentioned that approximately 20 to 25 students were aboard the university bus when the accident occurred.
The incident has sparked concerns regarding the safety of student transportation, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
