Assam: Schools In Majuli Closed On May 29 Due To Cyclone Remal


GUWAHATI: In response to multiple National Bulletins issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) concerning Cyclone Remal, the Majuli District administration has declared all schools, both government and private, to be closed on Wednesday, May 29.

This decision has been made in the public interest and as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The closure order takes immediate effect, aiming to mitigate any potential risks associated with the severe weather conditions forecasted due to the cyclonic storm.

However, the SEBA Compartmental Exam 2024 will proceed as scheduled, following the routine notified by the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA). Students appearing for these exams are advised to adhere to the examination timetable despite the school closures.
