GUWAHATI: After Guwahati-North Guwahati ropeway, the Assam Government is coming up with the second ropeway in Biswanath.
The ropeway will be established at the Biswanath Ghat and recently finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inspected the area along with other officials.
The ropeway will be contructed between Biswanath Ghat to Umatumani River Island.
As per reports, Sarma said that a team from Kolkata had already surveyed the area and the construction will begin after the district administration completes the land related work in the area.
Meanwhile, the long pending Guwahati passenger ropeway project was to be commissioned in September 2019. However, till now, the ropeway is on the trial phase and has not yet been open for the public.
