GUWAHATI: Assam born Rachna Nath has been awarded the Honorable mention award for Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators for the year 2019.
Nath has been awarded for her outstanding dedication and leadership in the field of environmental education. It is to be mentioned that Rachna is one of the two winners to have received this award from within California, Neveda and Arizona.
Rachna moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2003 to join Arizona College Prep-Erie, a school of choice in Chandler.

Rachna’s students are working with Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to increase awareness about Volatile Organic Substances (VOC’s) and to develop a reusable, organic, VOC-free air freshener.
She is the eldest daughter of Akshay Majumdar and Rekha Majumdar of Dispur in Guwahati.
